sunset

Listen to the Sunset
Listen to the Sunset

Listen to the sunset,
Hear its silent sigh
As it falls down the ho-risen
Warning, the moon is high

Listen to the sunset
Hear its silent threat
That darkness will be upon us
It makes everyone upset

Listen to the sunset
The vanity of its words
How beautiful this sunset is
With its color, and birds

Listen to the sunset
See its pretty hue
But I cant enjoy the sunset
If I am not with you

All the pretty colors are meaningless
So are the birds, and the sounds
Because it all means nothing to me
If you are not around

Just remember this though,
Promise you wont forget,
Even if your far away,
We'll be watching the same sunset

So listen to the sunset
Enjoy its beauty true
When you see it, think of me
And I will think of you

Raindrops

I am not a poet but everyone once in awhile I get the inspiration

 Rain

© Catrin

Liquid crystal falls from the sky,
And with a splash hits the pavement and lies,
Until the sun calls it home again,
There’s nothing quite as magical,
As the falling rain.

Rain
© Charlene Valladares
Rain glorious pounding soaking rain
How I love to hear your song
Drowning my world in your torrential downpour
I sit here and contemplate your frenzy dance moves upon my window panes
Lost I am in your graceful movements
You dance through the night as the dawn awaits in the horizon
You sashay your last moves and the sun peeks through the clouds
Move on, it cries
For it is my time to wash the world with light
And your last drops bid the world
Goodbye

I love standing in the rain.
Because when you are in the rain,
No one can tell if they are
Raindrops
or
Tears.

Pitter-patter raindrops
Slink from the sky
And settle purring
On my windowsill

Flowers

Flowers

You might think
A bunch of plants
Are not special
In any way.

But to me
Flowers are beautiful
They calm me down
Like my best friend.

Their scent is so nice
It makes me feel so happy
Some flowers have a strong smell
I think I will faint!

When I am sad
The flowers are my help
They might just sit there
But they speak a million words.

Of comfort and happiness
A flower feels like a friend
It listens to me
And makes me feel loved!

Spiritual Poem about Nature
This is a poem to remind all of you guys who ever felt like giving up to remember what's inside of you.
My Soul
© Kate
My soul is courage flying like a dove
My soul is wisdom and knowledge
bursting like a horse galloping
My soul is understanding like a puppy
My soul is graceful like a dolphin swimming in the sea
My soul sings like a bird tweeting its own songs
My soul is unique like one snowflake in many billions
My soul is happy to be this way

My Garden

An Evening Hour
© Pearlyn

It was a sunny bright evening, an evening so calm,
The kind of evening that was inviting me with an outstretched arm.
So I decided to spend an hour doing almost nothing,
Sitting and enjoying the best of what nature could bring.
Getting up from my chair, I thought I'd take a stride
Then there was a bumble bee that suddenly came by my side.
There was a kind of music as the bee flapped its wing,
Music so perfect That no one could ever sing.
Walking little further, I spotted a butterfly
Which was hovering over the flowers and then soaring high
And I came to the conclusion as I was on my knees,
Not the richest of queens was dressed like one of these.
My evening hour in the garden was very well spent
And now I know what beauty and music really meant!!

Crimson Rose

© Sylvia Winters
A sign of beauty
A symbol of grace
Its pride runs strong

At a very fast pace.
It's wild like a wolf
It's gentle like the breeze
And it has a burning honour
It's not eager to please.

But carelessness pays
It is armed with thorns
It'll laugh while you're bleeding
As your skin gets torn.

It is loved worldwide
But don't be fooled by its pose
It holds ancient, dark secrets
Beware of the Crimson Rose.

Clouds

Clouds
© Corey Howden
Clouds are big white fluffy pillows that make me dream.
when I'm in heaven that's where I'll sleep.
clouds are filled with happy things
such as ice cream cones and funny things.
But, when it grows dark I know that all the people up above
have turned out their lights and gone to sleep.

White cotton clouds

By Ronald J Chapman
White cotton clouds,
Blue, blue sky,
Over me,

What is this I see,
Two puppies playing,

There are several places,
Angels could be hiding,
They make themselves known,
While whistling in the wind,

But, in the depths of clouds,
There are storms brewing,

I'll just wait and see,

Thunder, as loud as dogs of Summer barking at me,

The air is thick and wet,
I've always wished I could fly away,
From the cold August rain.

I loved the clouds
Nicole Dawn

When I was younger,
I loved the clouds

I made pictures in them
And sometimes stories

I would sit and watch them
For hours

My parents worried
That a 6 year old
Needed "alone time"
But I wasn't alone
I was with the clouds
To me,
They were happy
And hopeful.

Now all I see in the clouds are
Darker days and rain storms
What happened,
To the little girl
Who loved the clouds?

I miss her

Beautiful clouds adorn the sky

Pamela Rae

Good Morning Clouds
Beautiful clouds adorn the sky
and tiny droplets of rain
are drizzling down.
Still quite warm, humid
for morning time,
but oh what a joy to see
that the sunshine is not
peeking out at me!
Strange how I never
would have believed even a year ago
that I would rejoice
whenever the sun did not show--
but this unrelenting heat
this past summer here
has tainted my joy of sunny skies
and the cloudless blue
overhead--
You see, I've come to dread
waking up to a sun filled room--
Much prefer the darkened gloom
Surely these preferences of late
are only temporary ones...
I cannot imagine not loving the sun
I cannot imagine too many days
that hold no light, only cloud covered skies
So yes, let the clouds block the sun for now
but please, one day bring back my love
of the sun somehow.
